Owlcave Records is an independent label and artist collective devoted to dark spectrum music and newbreed styles. We promote pioneering underground artists via digital, tape, and CDR releases, book performances through our associated † BL▲CK ♦ M▲SS † events, and host † BL▲CK M▲SS † SUND▲Y; a weekly event every Sunday at Mac's Bar in Lansing, MI. We hope to build a network of autonomous individuals in an effort to assist each other with self-releasing our music and collectively exposing our respective fan bases to similar artists and genres.

Zeppelin’s Music Hall is Lansing’s newest venue for live music. Owned by Michael Malott, who has worked with a number of industry greats including NIN, Marilyn Manson, and members of Skinny Puppy. The walls at Zeppelin’s are adorned with a plethora of gold and platinum records that Michael was involved with the production of with artifacts from Maynard Keenan’s autograph to original set lists hand written by Kurt Cobain.

Preteen has performed at clubs, art galleries, hotels, and an orgy. Shows vary between 15 minutes with one performer, and 10 hours with over 50.Since 2002, the project has put out 5 ‘normal’ full length albums, as well as a scattering of other releases including remixes, s3m kits, found audio tapes, and an illustrated children’s book.The only consistent threads are that any Preteen work must feature at least one of the core members, and must be available for free online. All releases of the project are available on either direct download or through bit torrent.While Preteen has generally left the themes of their work open to interpretation by others, we do want to make one point clear: absolutely none of it is done for shock value.
